My inspiration as a child growing up in a small apartment in the Bronx came from my mother, always drawing and painting with oil pastels. I studied Fashion Design in high school and college in N.Y.C. I transferred my passion for creative designs to the study of fine arts with very traditional methods. At 22, I moved to Colorado, where I continued my obsession for art, receiving a B.A. in Fine Arts and teaching certification from Metropolitan State College.
My life is overflowing with creating works of art, not only in painting, but three-dimensional discoveries as well. My goal in life is to paint and create artwork that I can share with others, in doing so creating my own happiness. When I pain I look for the changing light of the day, enthusing my palette of colors to dance upon landscapes, flowers, and people. My brush is challenged to generate surprise elements on canvas from realistic settings. I also transfer this excitement of nature into jewelry and carving marble sculptures.
Creating emotional interpretations of art from themes of my life experiences. I am in constant need of exploration with color, mediums and composition to finish a work of art. I know a piece of work is finished when I am filled with a sense of extreme ecstasy. I enjoy sharing my knowledge of different mediums and my personal exhilaration of the arts through teaching.
